Warning for all McDonald’s lovers, McDonald’s will shut down all…𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿e

The doors are gone. Not locked, not sliding open—gone. At select 24/7 McDonald’s, the entrance never closes, and people can’t stop arguing about what that really says. Is it radical transparency or a corporate surveillance dream? A genius branding move or a safety nightmare? The building itself is now the message, and it’s unignorable.

But there’s another side to the story that most people don’t notice at first. Removing the doors isn’t simply about making a restaurant feel more welcoming—it can completely change how the space works at night. Employees, customers, security teams, and even people passing outside become part of one constantly visible environment. There are no doors to separate “inside” from “outside,” creating a strange sense that the restaurant is simultaneously open to everyone and exposed to everyone.

And that raises a bigger question: if a company removes the physical barrier between itself and the public, does that make the place safer—or does it simply make everyone more visible?
