Millions of people recognize Justin Bieber as one of the world’s most successful pop stars. But behind his extraordinary rise to fame is a woman whose own life has been filled with challenges, heartbreak, and remarkable determination.

His mother, Pattie Mallette, experienced hardships long before her son became a household name.

Born on April 2, 1975, Pattie’s childhood was marked by tragedy. When she was only two years old, her five-year-old sister, Sally, died after being struck by a vehicle.

The loss deeply affected her family, but it was only the beginning of the difficulties Pattie would later describe.

In her memoir, she revealed painful experiences involving childhood abuse, emotional struggles, and a troubled adolescence.

By her teenage years, she had begun experimenting with substances and engaging in behavior that led to serious problems at school.
