A husband was driving his family on holiday when a frog hopped into the road. He stopped just in time, climbed out, and carried the little creature safely to the verge. To his astonishment, the frog thanked him and offered to grant him a wish. The man knew exactly what he wanted: “Please make my dog win the next dog race.” When the dog jumped out of the car, however, the frog noticed it had only three legs. Even with magic, that looked like a difficult request.
“I think that’s almost impossible,” the frog admitted. “Could you choose another wish?” The husband thought for a moment. “Well, then, please help my wife win the next local beauty contest.” At the frog’s request, she stepped out and approached them. The frog looked at her, then turned back to the husband. “Could I please have another look at the dog?”
