A married man secretly arranged to meet another woman at a hotel, convinced that nobody would ever discover his little adventure. He drove into the parking lot feeling excited about the afternoon ahead.

But just as he approached the entrance, he spotted something that made his heart skip a beat.

Parked only a few spaces away was his father-in-law’s unmistakable car.

“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me!” he muttered.

Terrified that his wife’s father might recognize him, the man immediately canceled his plans. He told his disappointed companion that an emergency had come up and hurried her away.

But instead of simply leaving, he became furious. In a moment of childish revenge, he walked over to his father-in-law’s car and broke both side mirrors.

Satisfied with himself, he drove home, believing he had taught the older man a lesson.

The following morning, he visited his father-in-law, expecting to hear an angry complaint. But the explanation he received made his blood run cold.
