High blood pressure, high cholesterol: please avoid these 3 things every morning

Paul Harvey Warned Us in 1965, His Words Are Hauntingly True Today!

Morning routines are particularly important for people with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Certain common habits can silently raise the risk of stroke, heart attack, and atherosclerosis, making it essential to adopt healthier alternatives.

One harmful habit is consuming strong coffee or smoking immediately upon waking. High-caffeine coffee spikes heart rate and blood pressure, while cigarettes constrict blood vessels and increase stroke risk. People with these conditions should opt for weak coffee, if any, and avoid smoking altogether.

Another risk comes from eating fried, greasy foods for breakfast. Items like fried bread, fatty noodles, or oily sticky rice elevate blood fat levels and increase LDL (“bad cholesterol”), promoting artery hardening. A healthier approach includes oatmeal, whole wheat bread, boiled eggs, vegetables, and low-sugar fruits.

Starting the day with vigorous exercise or stressful activities can also be dangerous. Blood pressure is naturally higher in the morning, so rushing into heavy workouts or emotionally stressful situations can increase stroke risk. Gentle stretching, deep breathing, or slow walking is recommended before gradually intensifying activity.

Conversely, certain habits can help maintain stable blood pressure and reduce blood fat. Drinking a glass of warm water upon waking helps thin blood, flush out toxins, and ease pressure on the liver and kidneys. This simple practice supports overall cardiovascular health.

Eating antioxidant-rich foods at breakfast, such as green vegetables, fruits, green tea, walnuts, flaxseeds, and oats, protects blood vessels and lowers bad cholesterol. Gentle morning exercise or relaxation techniques further improve circulation and reduce fluctuations in blood pressure, creating a healthy start to the day.
