A very well-liked student asks his classmate who has Down Syndrome to go with him to the prom.

Wesly Lowery and Nevaeh Hall have been friends since first grade. They grew up together, played together, and built a friendship that means the world to both of them.Nevaeh has Down syndrome, and Wesly has always been right there beside her.

 This year brought Nevaeh’s first homecoming. Wesly plays wide receiver on the football team, and he knew he wanted to make this night special for his friend.

After one of his games, he grabbed a sign and walked over to where Nevaeh stood with her cheerleading squad.

The moment he asked her, Nevaeh couldn’t contain her joy. She ran straight into his arms. Someone caught it all on video, and now millions of people have watched this beautiful friendship unfold.
