Back in 2002, Jake Gyllenhaal starred alongside Jennifer Aniston in the indie drama The Good Girl, and years later Jake admitted filming their romantic scenes felt like “torture” because he had a real crush on her at the time.
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Jake explained that love scenes in movies are far less glamorous than people imagine. He described them as highly choreographed and mechanical, with cameras, crew members, lighting setups, and constant direction surrounding every moment. Despite the awkwardness, he praised Jennifer for making him feel comfortable during filming and remembered her as incredibly kind and professional on set.
The film itself became a cult favorite over the years, with fans still appreciating the emotional chemistry between the two actors. Looking back now, Jake’s honest and funny behind-the-scenes confession only made people love the movie even more.
