Sirens are already screaming, but the real terror is what you don’t know yet. A storm twisting closer. A bus that never arrives. A deal behind closed doors that could save lives—or set the world on fire. Screens glow, phones buzz, hearts race. One missed call, one wrong turn, and everything changes.
Then, at exactly 9:17 p.m., every phone in the city goes silent. No alerts. No calls. No internet. For a few terrifying seconds, there is nothing but the sound of wind hammering against windows. Then a single message appears on millions of screens:
DO NOT GO OUTSIDE.
Nobody knows who sent it.
Across town, a woman staring at the message notices something even stranger. Her missing brother’s phone number appears beneath it. She calls immediately, but instead of his voice, she hears three words whispered through the static:
“They found us.”
She freezes.
Because her brother disappeared six months ago—and according to the police, he was never supposed to be alive.
