Dolly Parton’s final comments about her health have taken on an especially heartbreaking meaning following her death at 80 on August 25, 2026. Just four days earlier, she told PEOPLE that she had been dealing with health problems she had “didn’t pay attention to” while caring for her husband, Carl Dean, before his death in March 2025.
