Many of us use our phones every day for calling, texting, taking photos, and browsing the web. However, modern smartphones include a wide range of useful functions that often go unnoticed simply because users don’t know they’re available. Learning a few shortcuts can make everyday phone use quicker and more convenient.
One simple example is silencing an incoming call without rejecting it. On many phones, pressing a volume button can mute the ringtone while allowing the call to continue ringing silently. Another useful shortcut is quick camera access. Depending on your phone, you may be able to double-press a side or power button or use the camera shortcut on the lock screen. Battery-saving modes are another feature worth knowing. iPhones offer Low Power Mode, while Android phones generally provide Battery Saver options.
