“His soul will live on… and his music will live on. We thank you, brother.”
— Snoop Dogg on DMX
Two icons who carried the “dog” identity in hip-hop… but in completely different ways.
DMX was raw, aggressive, and straight from the pain, every verse felt like a fight.
Snoop Dogg, smooth and laid-back, brought a cool, calculated presence that defined West Coast style.
Snoop once said DMX was always trying to help others… pushing the right thing. And that’s exactly what made him more than just an artist.
Different energies… same greatness.
Both built timeless catalogs, dominated their eras, and stood at the same level in the culture, respected, feared, and celebrated.
In 2020, they shared legendary Verzuz battle DMX vs Snoop Dogg 2020, a moment that felt bigger than music… two kings celebrating their legacy while the world watched.
“God chose this angel to come back home.” – Snoop Dogg
A brother. A legend. A voice that will never fade.
