I finally learned it wasn’t trash, or a parasite from some horror story, but the handmade shelter of a case-bearing moth larva. A plaster bagworm, quietly dragging its tiny, camouflaged home across my floor, built from lint, dust, and forgotten fibers. Something I nearly swept away without a second thought turned out to be a life, mid-story, doing its best to survive in the margins of my attention.That realization shifted something small but permanent in me. I began to notice the overlooked: the spider in the corner, the ant navigating a spilled crumb, the way dust gathers where our habits never reach. The tube on the floor became a lesson in humility. Not every unsettling discovery is a threat. Sometimes it is a quiet invitation to look closer, to respect the hidden work happening in the spaces we barely see.
