While cleaning my son’s room, I noticed something pale and curved lying beneath his bed. At first glance, it looked strangely organic, with a dark pointed end. My heart immediately started racing as I wondered whether it could be a parasite, an animal part, or something that had died underneath the furniture.

I called my son over, expecting him to recognize it. Instead, he stared at the object with the same confused expression I had. Neither of us wanted to get close enough to touch it. The more we studied it, the worse my imagination became, and suddenly every strange smell and noise in the house seemed suspicious.

Finally, I grabbed a broom and carefully pushed the mysterious object into the light. I was preparing myself for something disgusting when I finally saw what it really was.
