I stayed at my boyfriend’s place last night, and when I woke up, I found the sweetest note he’d left before heading to work.

When I opened that note, I didn’t just smile… I froze for a second.

It wasn’t anything over-the-top. Just a few simple lines, written in his messy handwriting, saying he hoped I slept well, that he couldn’t wait to see me later, and that being with me felt like “finally being in the right story.”

I must have read it ten times.

And suddenly, everything from the past few weeks started replaying in my head—the bookstore date, the way he kept picking out random books and saying, “This one feels like you,” or how he refused to leave until he found “the perfect one.” At the time, I thought it was just a cute moment. Now I realize… that’s just who he is.

Thoughtful in ways that don’t need attention.

That’s when it hit me.

I don’t want a big, cliché proposal. I want something that feels like us. So I started thinking of a plan—something small, personal, and a little magical.

I’m going to take him back to that same bookstore.

But this time, I’ll get there early and hide a note inside one of the books he picked for me. Just a simple line: “Turn the page.”
On the next page, another note. Then another… like a trail.

Each one will be a moment from our story—how we met, that first laugh, that bookstore day, this morning’s note.

And on the last page, I’ll be there… waiting.

No big crowd. No pressure. Just us, in the place where it all quietly made sense.

And I’ll ask him:

“Do you want to keep writing this story with me?” ❤️
