Your feet do much more than support your body—they can also provide important clues about your overall health. Changes such as burning sensations, tingling, numbness, swelling, persistent pain, or unusual skin color may sometimes signal an underlying medical condition. While many foot problems are harmless and temporary, symptoms that persist, worsen, or interfere with everyday life deserve medical attention.
Burning feet may sometimes be linked to peripheral neuropathy, diabetes, vitamin B12 deficiency, certain medications, or alcohol-related nerve damage. Persistent tingling or “pins and needles” can also occur with nerve compression, vitamin deficiencies, diabetes, or circulation problems.
