Ray came home one evening exhausted after a long day and barely had enough energy to change his clothes before falling into bed. Within minutes, he was fast asleep. But instead of enjoying a peaceful night, Ray found himself having one of the strangest dreams imaginable. In the dream, he suddenly realized that he had died and was standing before St. Peter, completely confused about what had happened and desperately wanting another chance at life.

Ray pleaded to be sent back to Earth, insisting he was not ready for everything to end. St. Peter finally agreed, but there was one unusual condition: Ray could return only as an animal. After thinking quickly, Ray decided that becoming a chicken might not be so bad. Moments later, he found himself back on Earth as a hen, surrounded by feathers and farmyard sounds. Then an unfamiliar feeling began building inside him, and another chicken calmly told him exactly what was about to happen.
