But the night took a heartbreaking turn during the Bonus Round.

Standing beside host Ryan Seacrest with her husband cheering her on, Graham selected the category “Phrase.” After the standard letters appeared and she chose additional letters, the puzzle board revealed a frustrating sequence: THE_ GOT O_T_O_E_.

As the clock counted down, Graham made several intelligent guesses, including “They Got Outvoted” and “They Got Outmoved.” Each attempt sounded believable, but none matched the hidden answer. Just as time expired, the board revealed the correct phrase: “They Got Outfoxed.”

The loss became even more painful when Seacrest opened the prize envelope and revealed she had missed out on winning a brand-new Ford vehicle.

Viewers immediately flooded social media with frustration, calling the puzzle unfair and unnecessarily difficult. Many fans argued the phrase felt outdated and obscure, saying they had never even heard it used in normal conversation.

Although Graham still walked away with impressive winnings, many viewers believe she deserved a much better final puzzle.
