They had been best friends for years, sharing birthdays, holidays, secrets, and countless memories. People occasionally joked that they behaved more like sisters than friends, but neither woman ever thought much about it.

Then one day, they decided to take DNA tests.

It wasn’t supposed to be serious. They were simply curious about their ancestry and thought comparing their results would be another fun experience they could share.

When the results finally arrived, they opened them together.

But the predicted genetic connection was too significant to simply ignore.
