Pain on the right side of your body can mean different things depending on where it hurts and how it feels. Sometimes it’s something minor like muscle strain, especially if you’ve been active or slept in a bad position. But other times, it could be linked to something more serious that shouldn’t be ignored.
For example, pain in the upper right side of the abdomen can be related to the gallstones or liver issues. Lower right abdominal pain might point to appendicitis, which needs urgent medical attention. If the pain is in your side or back, it could be a sign of kidney stones or an infection.
Sharp, sudden pain, pain with fever, nausea, or pain that keeps getting worse are warning signs you shouldn’t ignore. On the other hand, mild pain that comes and goes could be less serious—but it’s still worth paying attention to your body.
If something feels off, it’s always safer to get checked by a doctor. Your body usually gives signals for a reason—don’t ignore them.
