At first glance, these two vintage office scenes look completely identical. A smiling blonde woman sits at her desk wearing an elegant light-green blouse and a professional grey skirt. In front of her is an old-fashioned green typewriter, while a wooden chair, large window, and wall clock complete the classic scene.
But this is a spot-the-difference puzzle, and somewhere between the two pictures is one tiny change. It is so subtle that many people look at the image several times before noticing anything unusual.
Start by comparing the biggest details first. Look at the woman’s clothes, hairstyle, chair, desk, and typewriter. If everything still appears identical, move on to the smaller background details. Examine the window panes, the typewriter keys, and especially objects that contain small lines or shapes.
The trick is not to rush. Move your eyes slowly from the top of the image to the bottom, comparing the left picture directly with the right one. Sometimes looking away for a few seconds and then returning can also make the hidden change easier to notice.
